1. It is difficult for Ragear to think for himself because before, Cluny told him what to do and did Ragear's thinking and deciding for him.
ReplyDelete2. Matthias finds the church smelling horribly of rats with all of the furniture overturned. Cluny's treatment of the church tells us that he doesn't care for beauty, but for squalor.
2b - I don't think that I have seen anyone treat anything poorly.
